November 7-9, 2025, the National Finals of the Third (2025) China Postgraduate Business Management Innovation Competition were grandly held in Guiyang. After intense competition, the “Strategic Pioneers” team—comprising Soochow University MBA students Xu Meng, Qin Chixu, and Yin Wenhan—secured the first prize in the MBA category of the Corporate Decision-Making Track through their outstanding innovative thinking and management acumen. Three additional teams from Soochow University MBA—the “Trend-Riding Pioneers,” “Millionaire Traders,” and “Three Men, Three Talents”—each secured third-place honors.

The China Postgraduate Business Management Innovation Competition is a high-level national postgraduate event guided by the Department of Degree Management and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and hosted by the China Association for Graduate Education and the China Association for Science and Technology Youth Science and Technology Center. As one of the flagship competitions in the “China Postgraduate Innovation Practice Series,” the event aims to enhance postgraduates' business management innovation capabilities and comprehensive practical skills by establishing an innovation practice platform, thereby advancing the cultivation of high-level management talent.

This year's competition stays abreast of contemporary developments by offering diverse tracks, including Corporate Decision-Making, Business Analytics and Practice, Business Management Cases, and AI and Digital Technology Applications. Registration officially opened on August 11, 2025, with the Soochow University team entering the fiercely competitive Corporate Decision-Making track. Among the 2,514 teams that registered, 245 advanced to the national finals after rigorous evaluation. Demonstrating outstanding strategic planning and seamless teamwork under the meticulous guidance of Professor Wang Weisha, our university team advanced through the campus competition, regional finals, and ultimately the national finals. Following their 2024 national first-place win, the Soochow University team secured another national championship in 2025, showcasing exceptional management innovation capabilities and practical expertise.

As the conference stated, true education stems not only from the classroom but also from meaningful, in-depth practice. This competition served as both an academic feast for young talents and a profound dialogue between youth and mission. Though the event has concluded, innovation never ceases. These rising stars in management are now bringing the knowledge and experience gained from the competition back to their campuses, poised to inject fresh vitality into corporate management innovation in China.
